If something went wrong, say which Mac and which macOS version you use, which platform you fly the sim on, and what you did before it happened. A screenshot helps.

Your first evening

  1. Create your airline: a name, a three-letter code, a callsign, a hub, and the aircraft you fly in the sim.
  2. Open Planner and sign in with the account you use on the MSFS planner. Chief Pilot reads the plans you’ve saved there, and only reads them.
  3. In Dispatch, pick a mission and accept it.
  4. Make the plan in the planner as you always do and save it. Chief Pilot finds it and links it to the mission.
  5. In the sim: EFB › Import Route. On the Mac: Off-block.
  6. When you’re on the ground: Landed, tell it how it went, read the receipt.

Common questions

Chief Pilot doesn’t find my plan.

The plan has to go from the mission’s departure to its arrival, and be saved in the planner. Press Check again on the mission. If it still doesn’t appear, open Planner to make sure you’re signed in, or link it yourself with Link a plan….

My aircraft isn’t in the catalogue.

Create it by hand: when you add an aircraft, choose to build one, fill in seats, weights and range, and give it a registration.

The board has very few missions.

Missions have to fit your active aircraft, your preferred legs and the airport you’re at. Try longer legs, a different aircraft, or the departures from your bases.

Does Chief Pilot know my landing rate?

No. It doesn’t connect to the sim, on any platform. You tell it how the landing went, and the rate if you noted it.

How do I keep my career safe, or move it to another Mac?

Everything lives on your Mac. In Your data you can save a full JSON backup, photos included, and restore it on another Mac. Make one now and then.

Is it on iPhone and iPad?

Not yet. The iPhone and iPad versions are on the way, and the purchase you make on the Mac will cover them.

Chief Pilot is an independent app, not affiliated with Microsoft, Asobo Studio or Sony. For problems with the sim itself or with your Xbox or PlayStation account, the people to ask are theirs.
